An experienced lawyer and business leader, Chiedu Ebie currently serves as the managing director and CEO of Millennium Oil & Gas Limited (MOGCL), a fully Nigerian-owned oil and gas exploration and production company based in Lagos. He maintains responsibility for managing the vision and daily activities of MOGCL, which earned distinction as one 31 companies awarded a license from the Nigerian government to assume control of a marginal oil field. After successfully bidding on the Oza Marginal Field in the Niger Delta region, Mr. Ebie and MOGCL began establishing a field development strategy, and the company expects to start commercial production efforts sometime in 2015. In his leadership capacities, Chiedu Ebie also works closely with fellow members of the Board of Directors, comprised of Nigerian business leaders. Before assuming the role of MOGCL’s full-time managing director in 2009, Chiedu Ebie balanced his part-time responsibilities at the company with his legal career. In this capacity, he cofounded and held a partnership stake in Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors. Prior to that, he spent eight years practicing commercial and corporate law as a partner at Okonjo, Odiawa & Ebie - Legal Practitioners, a firm he established.
